Introduction to Beacon Tool & Machine

B

eacon Tool and Machine is a tool/job shop that serves area manufacturing and tool shops. We do prototypes, WEDM, tool design and build, run production, short-run tooling and runs, spare parts and tool components, repair tooling, small four-slide parts, inspection gages, and low-cost modular tooling. We serve our local community and are expanding to other areas of our state. Currently, we cover from New Britain to Shelton.

Owned by Samuel Kosko, Beacon Tool & Machine began in a garage in November of 2002. Since then, the business has expanded and, in April 2005, moved to its current location at 141 South Main Street. Managed by Sam, the tool room boasts a new WEDM Mitsubishi Fa20s to complement our existing FA10s and a new small-hole EDM drill. We also have our Hurco VM1 CNC machining center.  These are complemented by presses and small secondary machines, giving the company an edge in technology. Full-time operation of Beacon Tool & Machine began August 15, 2005.

Beacon Tool & Machine is a small group of individuals dedicated to the pursuit of excellence. Sam started as an apprentice tool-maker in 1983. He has over twenty years of experience in the tool-making industry. The staff employed by Beacon Tool & Machine has been chosen for their extensive backgrounds and, more importantly, their character.

Above all, Beacon Tool & Machine is built on integrity.  The customer and his needs should always come before all else. Not all jobs or projects fit into every shop. If something is beyond our capabilities, we believe the customer should know. If the customer can be best served by another vendor, we will direct the customer elsewhere. It is through this policy of honesty that Beacon Tool & Machine has been able to maintain its core customer base.
